Legislative Advocacy
ALAJ's legislative advocacy for consumers in the Alabama State Capitol is the cornerstone of our formation and work today. This is one of the most essential services we provide our members – especially as we face increasing barriers to justice for your clients. Our profession depends on the strength of ALAJ's legislative success.
What makes TRIAL work is the persistent participation of dedicated plaintiffs' attorneys like you. ALAJ members are encouraged to participate in our legislative agenda in any way you are able.
Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee represents the Association before the Alabama House of Representatives and Senate. In conjunction with appropriate Section Chairs, it reviews proposed legislation and formulates a strategy on behalf of the Association regarding legislation that will impact the membership and the clients served by the membership.
